Since we are very big fans of completeness, we thought it might be good to bring the list up to a Top 10 so we are pleased to present the next 5 snippets of sound advice for your perusal: –
- Don’t just stick to your industry awards
Think ‘outside of the box’, perhaps for awards which focus on skills, culture or ethos
- Match your quieter times against the awards calendar
Make award submission less stressful by doing it when you know you’ll be less busy
- Complete your award entry in stages
Allocate smaller windows of time rather than tackling applications in one go
- Bust that jargon!
Take care to avoid any industry related jargon which may not be understood by the judges
- Make sure your Headshot is awards ready
Ask yourself if your current headshot reflects your professionalism or if it’s time for a re-shoot
